About Me
After graduating from the Department of Biological Applications and Technologies at the University of Ioannina, I obtained an Integrated Master’s degree in Biology. My interest in Neuroscience led me to pursue a Master’s program in Neurorehabilitation at the University of Thessaly.
During these studies, I decided to follow the path of Neuroscience abroad, and I am currently completing my Erasmus+ internship at the University of Liège. In our lab, we study brain function and body physiology, and how they are influenced by cognitive activities and states such as sleep.
Why I Chose My Career
From a young age, I had an innate curiosity about things I couldn’t explain. Growing up, whenever I was asked the classic question “What will you be when you grow up?”, my answer was always “I’m going to work in research.” And that’s exactly what happened.
My love for Neuroscience — especially anything related to the brain — emerged early in my studies, as it was the one field that captured my interest instantly and intensely.
Why I Became a Volunteer at R.E.A.L Science
Throughout my journey, I was fortunate to meet mentors who were willing to guide me, advise me, and help me turn my ideas into action. Now, I want to do the same for others.
If I can help even one person find clarity or direction, that is a success for me — because science moves forward when we support one another.
