A few words About Me
I’m Thomas, a Mechanical Engineer and graduate of Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, with a strong passion for studying the mechanisms of the human body through the lens of engineering. I am currently a PhD candidate at the Cyprus University of Technology and the founder of a start‑up that helps surgeons perform pre‑operative simulations before complex procedures.
During my student years, I was actively involved in volunteering, particularly as a member of IAESTE.
Why I Chose My Career
I have always felt the need to understand how the human body works and to contribute to improving its function from a different perspective—that of engineering.
Why I Became a Volunteer at R.E.A.L Science
One of the main reasons I wanted to join this platform is that many high‑school students do not have a clear picture of the opportunities each university department can offer. As a result, they may miss out on fields that truly match their interests and future goals. I want to help students make informed choices and discover paths aligned with their aspirations.
