About Me
My name is Polyxeni Efthymiadou, and I am an elected Municipal Councilor in the Municipality of Neapoli–Sykies. I am a graduate of Anatolia College (ACT) and work as a municipal employee at the Daycare Centers for the Elderly (K.H.F.H.).
At the same time, I am an English teacher with a degree in Humanities and a professional translator.
Why I Chose My Career
I have always loved languages and wanted to explore the cultures, customs, and traditions of other countries. Language gives you the ability to communicate and collaborate with people from different backgrounds. This gradually led me to volunteer work and active participation in public affairs, allowing me to stay connected with citizens and their everyday challenges.
Why I Became a Volunteer at R.E.A.L Science
Through the Real Science platform, I would like to offer my knowledge as a teacher. After learning more about the mission of Real Science, I decided to become a volunteer and, together with the other volunteers, help students develop a different way of thinking about the many career paths available to them.
