A few words About Me
I am originally from Veria. I studied at the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, from which I graduated in August 2020. I then worked for a few months as a DevOps Engineer in the industry, but soon realized that I wanted to pursue research.
In August 2021, I began my PhD at Katholieke Universiteit Leuven, specializing in Medical Imaging.
Why I Chose My Career
Machine learning is a field that has grown rapidly in recent years and captured my interest early in my studies. It lies at the intersection of computer science and mathematics and offers solutions to critical problems we face every day.
Medical imaging, in particular, is perhaps the most impactful application of these methods, as it contributes directly to early diagnosis and treatment of diseases.
Why I Became a Volunteer at R.E.A.L Science
It is important that meaningful information—whether scientific knowledge or personal experiences—is shared with young people so they can form opinions, gain exposure to different fields, and discover what truly excites them.
Through this interaction, students can find the direction that suits them from an early age.
