About Me
I graduated from the Department of Chemistry at the University of Crete. My undergraduate thesis focused on inorganic synthetic chemistry with applications in the conservation of antiquities. At the same time, through specialized courses and a school‑based internship, I obtained Teaching Certification.
I then began my Postgraduate Studies in the same department, specializing in Toxicology and Food Chemistry. My scientific interests focus on studying the chemicals we come into contact with daily and the potential risks they pose to human health.
Why I Chose My Career
I have always been drawn to the sciences and to discovering new things — an interest that grew stronger during my Undergraduate Studies. Chemistry offers a wide range of professional opportunities, providing flexibility and multiple career paths.
Why I Became a Volunteer at R.E.A.L Science
Through my personal experience and my school internship, I realized that career guidance is largely missing from the Greek education system. For this reason, I am happy to participate in initiatives that focus on supporting students and helping them navigate questions related to studies in the field of Chemistry.
