About Me

As the child of two teachers, I grew up imagining an education system where every child feels safe and excited to learn — a vision I never outgrew and eventually turned into my life’s mission.

During my studies in Early Childhood Education in Thessaloniki, I gained extensive experience in non‑formal education through 15 Erasmus+ training courses across Europe and completed my ESC volunteer placement in Faro, Portugal.

In addition to Greek and English, I speak Dutch and basic Japanese. After having the opportunity to travel to 21 countries and work in 6 of them, I completed my Master’s degree in Diversity and Inclusion in Education at Utrecht University. Today, I work as an educator in both formal and non‑formal education, with plans to pursue a PhD in the future.

Why I Chose My Career

I like to believe that we choose our careers freely, but at the same time, we are social beings shaped by the values of our environment. I grew up with the values of justice, inclusion, respect, and the importance of education and scientific thinking.

I believe teachers have a tremendous opportunity — and responsibility — to promote science, especially in an era where misinformation and non‑scientific claims spread rapidly. Balancing my passion with my skills, I realized that a career in the Social Sciences was the only path that would allow me to be both a good professional and a fulfilled human being.

Why I Became a Volunteer at R.E.A.L Science

While working as a non‑formal education trainer through Erasmus+, I met Ms. Ioanna Ntinou, who introduced me to the platform. Passionate and experienced as I am in both science and education, I felt that joining R.E.A.L Science was a natural and meaningful next step.
