About Me

I graduated from the Department of Mathematics at Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, where I also completed my Master’s studies in Pure Mathematics. I later received my PhD in Applied Mathematics from the Department of Mechanical Engineering at the Polytechnic School of A.U.Th.

I have worked as a researcher at the University of Massachusetts (USA), the Slovak Academy of Sciences, the University of Bristol (UK), and the Institute of Mathematical Sciences (ICMAT) of the Spanish National Research Council. I am currently an Assistant Professor at Universidad Politécnica de Madrid.

Why I Chose My Career

My love for mathematics — and for the sciences in general — made the choice straightforward. In my case, it was a one‑way path; I knew from my early years in middle school that I wanted to become a mathematician.

Why I Became a Volunteer at R.E.A.L Science

I have always been interested in showing younger generations the opportunities that science can offer and contributing in any way I can to support them on that path.
