About Me
I have been a permanent English teacher in Secondary Education since 2005 and a Community Councilor of the Neapoli Municipal Community in the Municipality of Neapoli–Sykies since 2014.
I hold a Master’s degree in Information and Communication Technologies in Education from King’s College London, and I am fluent in three foreign languages.
I have received numerous awards at the national ELT Excellence Awards and the Education Leaders Awards, and in 2024 I was named “Teacher of the Year.” I have been a two‑time finalist at the global GESS Education Awards (2023, 2024). I am also one of the 50 finalists for the Global Teacher Prize 2025, the international award of the Varkey Foundation under the auspices of UNESCO, with a prize of 1 million dollars—often referred to as the “Nobel Prize of Teaching.”
As a councilor, I have led a wide range of cultural and educational initiatives, such as the Student Film Festival and the “Read to Me!” program in the municipality’s senior centers. I have created educational videos for schools using the archive of historian Konstantinos Nigdelis and have organized events on internet safety, Alzheimer’s awareness, and youth entrepreneurship.
