About Me

I am a postgraduate student in Comparative and International Education at Stockholm University and a graduate of the Department of Primary Education at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki.

Alongside my Master’s studies, I teach Greek at the Greek Language Department (TEG) in Stockholm to primary‑school children from migrant backgrounds.
My research interests focus on technical and vocational education in Greece and Sweden. One of my favourite hobbies is astronomy.

Why I Chose My Career

One of the most common childhood dreams is to become a teacher — but I was not one of those children. Instead, three of my interests led me to the path of Education.
First, my desire to pursue social sciences, believing that through them I could study society, contribute to it, and help improve it in practical ways.
Second, my love for the sciences, which inspired me to want to pass that enthusiasm on to others.
And finally, my wish to work with primary‑school‑aged children.

Why I Became a Volunteer at R.E.A.L Science

The question “What do you want to be when you grow up?” always made me uncomfortable as a student because I liked many different professions. Even though I struggled to choose which university department I wanted to pursue, from as early as the 9th grade — when I first took a career‑orientation class — I was already researching how the system of tracks and university choices worked and helping my classmates think about what might interest them.
Through R.E.A.L Science, I want to help students explore the details of my field and, more importantly, realize that every choice can lead to many different paths — and that this is neither wrong nor a failure.
