A few words About Me
I’m Olympia, and I absolutely love Biology. I studied in Patras and completed my Master’s degree in Crete, with a short Erasmus stop in Denmark along the way. My research has focused mainly on the Molecular Biology of insects, and I have also explored the self‑organization of chemical molecules in the context of the Origin of Life. Outside the lab, I read anything related to Synthetic Biology, Astrobiology, Biotechnology, and Evolution.
Of course, science isn’t the only thing in my life! In my free time, I knit obsessively and experiment in the kitchen, trying to create as many meat‑free meatballs as my imagination allows.
Why I Chose My Career
From a young age, I was fascinated by anything scientific. But it was my middle‑school biology teacher who truly sparked my love and admiration for Biology. Through my studies and research, I’ve been able to satisfy my need for learning, exploration, and creativity.
