About Me
I graduated from the Department of Chemistry at the University of Patras. Since 2008, I have been teaching Chemistry to high‑school students — and occasionally to middle‑schoolers who don’t yet know what awaits them.
I am also the creator of the science channel Smart Chemistry on YouTube. The channel presents simplified, accessible explanations of everyday chemical phenomena, accompanied by plenty of humor (mostly bad) and impressive explosive reactions — many of which have pushed my mother to the brink of despair.
My life’s purpose is to spread knowledge and scientific thinking to as many students as possible. My dream is to one day offer complete education entirely for free to everyone. I live on a pink cloud made of electrons.
Why I Chose My Career
Until the second year of high school, “career orientation” was a completely foreign concept to me. My private‑lesson Chemistry teacher in those years inspired me to pursue Chemistry and education — and now I get to lovingly torment unsuspecting students.
The science of Chemistry, especially Organic Chemistry, fascinated me. I dare say I fell in love with it (and I hope my wife never reads this). From that point on, everything fell into place naturally.
Why I Became a Volunteer at R.E.A.L Science
There are two reasons I joined R.E.A.L Science.
First, to spread science and promote rational thinking in a fun and accessible way.
Second… I’m a bit of a show‑off and I absolutely love being in the spotlight.
