A few words About Me
I grew up in Chania and studied in the five‑year Department of Biological Applications and Technologies at the University of Ioannina. I am currently completing my Master’s‑level thesis at the Pharmacology Department of BRFAA, where my research focuses on anticancer compounds. Soon, I will be submitting a PhD proposal on immunological therapies. In my free time, I enjoy engaging in creative activities and volunteering.
Why I Chose My Career
I chose this profession because I love nature and wanted to understand what happens around me. I was always searching for answers to questions like: How do plants communicate with the sun? How do birds navigate and migrate? Why does the human species originate from primates? How can children be born with such great diversity? Why is the female biologically superior from an evolutionary perspective? How does the moon regulate the tides?
Ultimately, I chose Biology because I wanted to contribute to developing therapies that could help children facing health challenges.
Why I Became a Volunteer at R.E.A.L Science
I was once in the same position—trying to choose a career while being told I would face unemployment. I never regretted my choice. I want to help students make informed decisions and see the possibilities that a scientific path can offer.
