About Me

From a very young age, I had a strong inclination toward the arts — painting has always been a form of expression for me, and I still practice it today. I have worked with many media, including oil, charcoal, architectural drawing, and freehand sketching. Some of my artworks have received awards from international organizations, while others have been published in books and printed materials.

Drug design and discovery became the perfect way for me to merge creativity with the health sciences. I first completed my studies in Chemistry at Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, where I was introduced to the design and organic synthesis of anticancer compounds.

My research journey in drug discovery began after completing my Master’s degree in Pharmaceutical Chemistry at the University of Athens, followed by my PhD in the same field, funded by a full scholarship from the State Scholarships Foundation (IKY).

Why I Chose My Career

Contributing to something new and innovative has always been a core motivation behind my decisions and the driving force of my research career so far.

Why I Became a Volunteer at R.E.A.L Science

Because of the remarkable team of highly qualified scientists and the meaningful mission of the platform.
