About Me
I graduated from the Department of Physics at Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, specializing in Atmospheric and Environmental Physics. I continued with Postgraduate Studies in the same field, focusing on solar radiation measurements and its interactions with Earth’s atmosphere. I am also deeply involved in topics related to atmospheric pollution and Earth’s climate.
I am currently a PhD candidate at ETH Zurich, conducting my doctoral research at the Physical‑Meteorological Observatory Davos / World Radiation Center in Switzerland. My work focuses on studying atmospheric aerosols through solar radiation measurements.
During my studies in Greece, I participated in school tours, open nights, and the “A.U.Th. on Sunday” event at the university’s observatory, where I had the opportunity to talk to students of all ages about the telescope and astronomy.
Why I Chose My Career
From a young age, I was fascinated by astronomy, curious about how the world works, and sensitive to environmental issues. Even in secondary school, the idea of becoming a researcher appealed to me, and during my Undergraduate Studies I received the right stimuli to understand the direction I wanted to follow.
