A few words About Me
I have been working in Public Education since 2009 and have experienced every stage of a fixed‑term teaching career: hourly‑paid support teacher, hourly‑paid teacher, part‑time substitute, full‑time substitute, and as of 2024, a newly appointed permanent teacher. I have taught in three different regions and eight different schools—both Gymnasiums and Vocational High Schools (EPAL).
Due to my specialty, I primarily teach in EPAL across the Electrical Engineering, Electronics, and Mechanical Engineering sectors in all grade levels.
I was once an EPAL student myself, and this experience greatly strengthens my empathy and understanding of my students. Before attending EPAL, I had completed my studies in a General High School and transitioned to EPAL at the age of 18—an experience that significantly shaped my professional path.
During my university years, I worked as a trainee electrician in workshops alongside more experienced professionals in Thessaloniki and Serres.
Why I Chose My Career
There are many reasons—so I’ll share just a few.
First, I’ve loved teaching from a very young age, even before I realized it. Both of my parents are educators, which naturally influenced me. Electrical Engineering has always fascinated me, and I wanted to share that excitement, to explain it, and to help others understand it.
Finally, my greatest motivation to learn something new has always been the desire to help someone else learn it too.
Why I Became a Volunteer at R.E.A.L Science
When I saw the list of volunteers, I noticed there wasn’t a single Electrical Engineer—let alone an Electrical Engineering educator. I immediately thought I could contribute, especially since I have participated in many volunteer activities throughout my life.
My motivation remains the same: to help students—and perhaps future colleagues—discover their path and feel supported along the way.
