A few words About Me
I am a veterinarian and hold a PhD from the School of Veterinary Medicine of Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, specializing in Pathology. For the past fifteen years, I have been working at the Veterinary Laboratory of Chalkida (Ministry of Rural Development and Food), which serves as the national reference laboratory for Salmonella and Antimicrobial Resistance, where I am the head of the laboratory.
My experience in veterinary microbiology, combined with my background in quality‑management systems and my work as an inspector in various state services, allows me to offer valuable guidance and career orientation to students through the volunteer work I consistently choose to support. I also serve as a mentor in an international program under the World Giftedness Center and contribute to the Greek Women in STEMM community.
Why I Chose My Career
My career so far has been shaped by a combination of conscious choices and unexpected opportunities, always guided by my love for science—and for medical science in particular. The methodical approach required in my field keeps me focused, while the constant evolution of available technologies keeps my interest alive.
Why I Became a Volunteer at R.E.A.L Science
I support every initiative that aims to contribute to the growth and improvement of the next generation—something I consider not only a pleasure, but also a responsibility.
